Can I use a drop of essential oil with the water to add fragrance and freshness?

We do not recommend adding any essential oils to the water as it may compromise the technology and cause it to malfunction. Such a malfunction would not be covered under our warranty program.
To keep your device fresh and clean we do recommend emptying the reservoir on a daily basis. Once a month, fill the reservoir with warm tap water mixed with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Press and hold the trigger for 30 seconds. Empty the remaining water from the reservoir and press the trigger to clear the excess mixture from the device.
